Barrel Aged Series

Anchor Brewing

Working with America’s first craft brewery was a dream come true. I led the design for a limited-edition barrel-aged beer package, starting with three concepts and refining it down to one finalist. We added gold accents and embossed typography to elevate the packaging. For each launch, we strategized a unique photography concept that captured the essence of the beer and the brand’s story. To match, we created launch parties for each beer, making every release a special event. Over four years, we introduced five unique beers, each with its own activation.

Barley Wine

Purple Velvet Stout

Brown Ale

Designed to honor Anchor’s legacy as America’s first craft brewery, the packaging features a traditional illustrated barrel, gold foil, and designed typography. Handwritten notes from brewers add a personal touch, sealed with a gold wax top. Later editions introduced custom color-coded bottle caps to enhance the limited-edition experience.

Release Parties:

Turning this packaging into a series of exclusive release parties made each new beer feel like a highly anticipated event. With sales limited to the brewery, beer aficionados eagerly lined up to try the unique flavors and secure each limited edition, making every release an exciting and sought-after experience.

Photography

For each new type of beer we photographed a new setting and tone to differentiate and use for the social posting.
